Well, Charlie Hebdo “kon” se ziada “kia” ha. Basically yeh aik left-wing French satirical magazine ha jis mein cartoons, reports, polemics aur jokes publish hotay hein. Har Wednesday ko publish honay walay is magazine ki tone strongly anti-religious aur left-wing ha, aur in ke satirical articles aur jokes ka target ziada tar extreme right, Catholicism, Islam, Judaism, politics, culture etc. raha ha. Is ki waja se in ki taraf kaafi criticism bhi ha.

Yeh magazine 1970 mein start hua tha, lekin 1980 mein band ho gya. 1992 mein phir se continue hua. Is ke most recent editor Stephane “Charb” Charbonnier, 47, ne editor ki post 2009 mein sambhali thi, until 2015 jab office par attack mein un ki death ho gyi.

Charb ko past mein buhut death threats mili theen aur woh police protection mein they.

Jab attack hua tou Charlie Hebdo ki daily editorial meeting ho rhi thi.

Charlie Hebdo ki controversies

Charlie Hebdo past mein buhut ziada controversies ka shikar rha ha.

Pichlay issues mein inhon ne Islam aur doosray mazahib ko mazah ka nishana bnaya ha jis ki waja se in ke khilaaf court mein case ho chukay hein. Lekin France ke “Freedom of Expression” ke laws ke tahet in ko protection hasil ha.

2012 mein bhi inhon ne Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) ke kuch caricatures publish kiye jis ki waja se kaafi riots huay. Attack se pehlay Charlie Hebdo ki last tweet bhi Islamist State ke leader ki mocking thi.
